A good farm survey with 276 individual birds of 33 species - my best ever for July. Highlights included family parties of Kestrels ( ad +2 juv) & Grey partridge (2ad+9 Juv), 2 Common terns over the river, a Spotted Flycatcher and good numbers of Chiff Chaff, Blackcap and Common Whitethroat. Also for good measure a couple of Goldcrest and 5 Yellowhammer.

Title says it all really - first gatekeeper spotted at Ewelme Watercress Beds LNR amongst large numbers of Meadow Browns and Ringlets plus some Large Skippers and a couple of Marbled Whites. Why not come along on Sunday's Open afterneen to see what you can find?
